Red Wine

A bit about the name:

The name ATIO comes from a pre-roman tribe called Vacceos which lived in the area about 2000 years ago. A grave with this name on it was found near Emina winery, with a vessel with rests of wine. This discovery converts Atio as the first reference of wine making in the area of Ribera del Duero. This the reason Emina winery decided to call their top wine after him.An now Heart of Spain its bringing  here in Ireland!

This is a single- vineyard wine made with Tempranillo from the Pago del Horno, in Valbuena de Duero, aged during 18 months in new French oak barrels. The vineyards are rooted 800 meters above Sea Level, where the vines get a lot of sunshine.

On the vision :it has a deep yet bright cherry color with purple glints.

On the nose: it is very complex. There is an excellent harmony in its aromas: clear, ripe fruit; toasted notes of coffee, vanilla, leather and cocoa.

On the palate : it is powerful and elegant, with an extraordinary backbone. Sweet, polished tannins perfectly balance with notes of spice and fruit. Smooth and lingering finish.
